One Hand Clapping is a Platformer That You Play Using Your Voice, Releases December 14
Developer Bad Dream Games’ upcoming 2D platformer One Hand Clapping is a unique twist on the saturated genre, which will be releasing on December 14 on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, PC (via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG), and Stadia.
One Hand Clapping sees players using their voice to overcome the myriad of challenges offered by the game’s levels. The visuals might look simplistic, but seems to be working rather well with the gameplay design being shown off here. The main hook of the game is that you have to alter the pitch of your voice to control your protagonist- which is a novel idea, although it remains to be seen how the developers execute it. Players will, of course, need to have at least a microphone to pick up your voice.
The game is already available via Steam Early Access, and has been for some time, but reviews seem to be divisive for now, with players expressing problems with voice detection. Here’s hoping those issues can be sorted out in time for the looming full release.
