Dying Light 2 Stay Human is Fully Playable in Co-op (Sans Prologue)
In a new press release, Techland re-affirmed that Dying Light 2 Stay Human wouldn’t have cross-platform co-op support at launch. However, it also confirmed that cross-generation co-op would be absent as well. Steam and Epic Games Store players on PC can play with each other at launch though, which is nice.
Some new details were also provided on how co-op works. Except the Prologue, the full game is playable in co-op, right up to the end. Players invited to a session can keep any items gained and progression made. Furthermore, any important choices will be subject to a vote among players though the session host will have the final say.
Though Techland didn’t clarify when cross-platform co-op would be coming, it has pledged five years of post-launch support for the title. There’s also the desire to have classes for co-op though nothing is set in stone. Dying Light 2 Stay Human is out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS4 and PS5 on February 4th (with the Nintendo Switch version delayed to later this year).
