Hello and welcome to another NCBD!

Hey guys! Welcome to the first Wednesday Pulse! Combining both Adam and I’s article together into one article filled with all the info you need to know. We are very excited for this new template and we hope Y’all like this format so please give feedback etc. There will probably be a tweak here and there as time goes on. This was a good week to start it as it is a hot one. Let me know if I missed anything in the comments and as always, thanks for reading and happy Wednesday!

 

Comics Releasing On 01/25/23

Action Comics #1051 Nakayama  We sold 50 copies. Why is this hot? You’ll notice a theme on the next 3 titles, ladies by hot artists. Nakayama killed the not used often enough Power Girl on this cover B. -Ali- Great long term play as with time this will go up in value. -AL- I just like these DNA color match covers.	Harley Quinn #26 Frison We sold 25 copies. Why is this hot? Frison moves books, period. -Ali- Another long term play, see Frank Cho Harley Quinn covers for an idea how a cover like this can go up in price. -AL- I like this variation in colors from her usual.
Gotham Game #4 Louw We sold 80 copies. Why is this hot? Louw is absolutely on fire. Hate on Punchline if you want but people like her and this is a winning combo. -Ali- 3peat on this one, this one seems to have the best chance of increasing in value. -AL- I’m a Louw fan and this hits for me. Light from behind is my jam and a great smile. I don’t like PL, but this helps win me over.	Darkwing Duck #1 7 of A and 8 of B. Why is this hot? This book isn’t hot, lots of hype but no sales. -Ali- Just because a book is hyped up doesn’t mean that people are actually buying it. Dynamite does way too many covers, tons of shops did covers for this cover, and consumers just aren’t interested. -AL- I think the nostalgia wears off.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the Last Ronin The Lost Years #1 We sold 57 copies of cover B, 1:100 sold 4 for $124.99. Why is this hot? Last Ronin just continues to sell incredibly well. -Ali- See Last Ronin 1-5, these move in price as complete sets. Start building sets of Cover A and B now. The 1:100 is still selling for near ratio, half ratio I’m a buyer. -AL- All the ratios are moving but under ratio for the most part. If you see them for half or less maybe take a chance. The 1:100 Virgin Mike Deodato Jr is the best bet at half ratio or less. I’m just grabbing to read.	Creepshow #5 We sold 52 copies of cover A. Why is this hot? This is what I love, an indy series built on purely being a fantastic read, selling well. Some fantastic exclusives as well. Shout out to Wanted for that David Mack exclusive. -Ali- The full run of this series will likely stay desirable long term. -AL- Just good fun classic style horror.
Invincible #1 Facsimile We sold 58 copies. Why is this hot? Reprints Invincible #1, one of my favorite current animated shows. -Ali- Buy and hold. -AL- If this is your thing. I don’t know enough about it.	Invincible Undeluxe #1 We sold 55 copies. Why is this hot? Not sure why people are so into invincible that they would pay to have a series go from color to black & white. Actually that is a lie, I know exactly why. The comic and show are fantastic. -Ali- Walking Dead Deluxe #1 sells for premium why not the undeluxe of invincible?
Amazing #18 Stegman ASM 100 Homage We sold 36 copies. Why is this hot? Over done homage, that sells books, check. -Ali- It will probably see a very small bump with time as people love collecting these. -AL- Insidious Six – Chasm King of Limbo, the Goblin King. Don’t care.
