Global Esports has been teasing an upcoming female Valorant team for quite some time with an aim to compete in the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023: Game Changers Asia Pacific (APAC), which is the premier Valorant league for professional and aspiring women athletes.

The first open qualifier for this tournament is scheduled to begin in a few days' time from 9th March onwards and will be taking place over the course of the next ten days.

With just three days to go, AFK Gaming has confirmed through its sources that Global Esports will be signing the entire Valorant roster of Grace Esports, the winner of India's first female-only Valorant LAN tournament - Skyesports Grand Slam Season 3 (Skyesports Luna).

The first open qualifier of the VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC will be hosting female Valorant teams from three different regions: Oceania, Southeast Asia, and South Asia. It is scheduled to take place from 9th to 19th March and will feature a total prize pool of $10,000 USD (INR 8,19,315).

With just two days remaining before the group stage of the first qualifier kicks off, AFK Gaming via its sources has learned about all the players that will be competing under the banner of Global Esports.

The female Valorant roster of Global Esports will be as follows,

  1. Saloni “Meow16K” Pawar

  2. Akanksha "muffinloop" Sukhramani

  3. Jagruti “Hyphae” Moholkar

  4. Abisha "Baila" Joseph

  5. Rose

This is the same team that played together as Grace Esports and was crowned as the champion of Skyesports Grand Slam Season 3 also known as Skyesports Luna, held offline at Pragati Maidan, Delhi.

Grace Esports Valorant Lineup

The team will be competing as Global Esports Phoenix in the upcoming VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC and it has already registered for the tournament.

At the time of writing this article, Global Esports Phoenix has been matched up against a team called Empyrean Horizon for its opening match of the tournament, which is the first round of the group stage. However, do take this particular piece of information with a pinch of salt because the schedule and opponents have not yet been finalized and could be subjected to changes.

VCT 2023 Game Changers APAC Open 1 Group Stage: Schedule

All the players in this lineup were actually shortlisted by Global Esports last year when multiple tryouts were held to pick the playing five for its female Valorant roster.

It will be interesting to see how the team goes on to perform in the VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC which will run for a total of eight months from March to October with a total prize pool of $75,000 USD.
