Call of Duty 2021 is Called WWII: Vanguard, Set in Alternate History 1950s Where WW2 Didn’t End – Rumour

To no one’s surprise, it has been confirmed by Activision that there will be a new premium Call of Duty game released later this year, but exactly what that game to be is something we can only guess at yet. Some leaks have indicated that the game – reportedly being developed by Sledgehammer Games – will have a World War 2 setting once again, but now, another leak may have potentially expanded on that with more details.

ModernWarzone has been a reliable source of leaks and information for Call of Duty in the past, and the latest leak from them states that this year’s game is called Call of Duty WWII: Vanguard. The name is apparently a tentative one, and might still change before the game releases, but right now, that is what the game is supposed to be called.

Meanwhile, as far as the setting is concerned, the game will apparently be set in an alternate history 1950s, and in this timeline, the Second World War never ended. How that ends up happening isn’t something that’s been detailed, but it sure sounds very Wolfenstein.

Of course, this is an unverified leak, so take it with a grain of salt for now. We’ll keep you updated should anything change though, so stay tuned.
