Scorn Could be Delayed to 2022

Remember Scorn, Ebb Software’s horror FPS that re-revealed last year? Initially announced in 2014, it would become an Xbox Series X/S console exclusive and offers a uniquely grotesque world inspired by the works of H.R. Giger. Though it was last claimed to be releasing in 2021, it seems that the title may have been delayed to next year.

A press release from new publisher Kepler Interactive, which is co-owned by studios like Sloclap (which is working on Sifu) and Ebb Software, listed Scorn as releasing in 2022. It noted that, “The 2022 slate includes hotly anticipated titles such as Sloclap’s Sifu, Ebb Software’s Scorn, Awaceb’s Tchia, Alpha Channel’s Tankhead and an unannounced title by A44.” The developer has yet to provide an update on the release or officially confirm a delay.

As such, there have been very few updates about Scorn this year and given the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s possible that development has faced some hurdles. Stay tuned for more details and some kind of announcement in the coming days. In the meantime, check out some Xbox Series X gameplay footage here.
