Horizon Zero Dawn Has Sold Almost 2.4 Million Units on PC, God of War Has Sold Over 971,000 Units

Over the last few years, Sony has brought over some of its biggest first party PlayStation exclusives to PC as it looks to expand its presence on the platform, and given the fact that the company has every intention to keep doubling down on those plans, it should come as no surprise that those recent releases have enjoyed quite a bit of success, especially where sales are concerned.

During a recent investor presentation, Sony talked about the exponential growth it has experienced on PC. In FY 2020, the company saw $35 million in revenue from PC titles, which then shot up to $80 million in FY 2021. In FY 2022 (which runs until April 1, 2023), Sony is expecting $300 million in revenue from PC titles.

Additionally, Sony has also provided updated sales figures for three of its biggest PC releases so far. Horizon Zero Dawn, which sold 2.398 million units on PC so far, bringing in $60 million in revenue. Days Gone, meanwhile, has sold over 852,000 units, with lifetime revenue of $22.7 million so far. Then there’s God of War, which launched for PC in January earlier this year. That has already sold over 971,000 units, bringing in $26.2 million units.

All of these figures are accurate as of March 2022.

During the presentation, the company also explained that by FY 2025, it expects roughly half of all its new releases to PC and mobile platforms. Currently, the only upcoming PC title that Sony has officially announced is Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, though doubtless, that’ll change in the coming months.
